SimATIS

SimATIS is a text-to-speech application that takes text, converts it to speech and broadcasts it over a computer network in IEEE 1278.1A-1998 Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) packets. Any tuned DIS Radios on the network such as SimRadio will receive the transmitted speech. This can be used for simulating ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service), GCA/CCA, or just to relieve the burden of the instructor. Multiple instances of SimATIS can be run at the same time to simulate multiple ATIS or GCA/CCA transmitters. SimATIS can be controlled by the GUI or by a User Datagram Protocol (UDP) network packet.
